Stop At: POMPEII
Departure from your accommodation in Rome Driving down for 3 hours to Pompeii where you will walk along the ancient streets for a glimpse into the lives of the Romans. Through the remains and ruins of this ancient city, you can picture the everyday life in the Imperial Age and imagine the panic felt by the people before the city was so disastrously buried. A guide available English, Spanish and French will accompany for 2 hours and a half hours. After the guided tour your driver will drive you up on mount Vesuvius.

Stop At: VESUVIUS NATIONAL PARK
Once visited Pompeii ruins you will drive between the vineyards going up on mount Vesuvius, there you have the chance to admire the beauty of the volcano. Vesuvius is still regarded as an active volcano, although its current activity produces little more than sulfur-rich steam from vents at the bottom and walls of the crater. Vesuvius is a stratovolcano at the convergent boundary, where the African Plate is being subducted beneath the Eurasian Plate.

After the visit to Pompeii and Vesuvius, you have the opportunity to stop for lunch at the foot of the volcano, and immediately after lunch, we leave for Rome for the end of the tour.
